Custom Stainless Steel Fabricators

What good would a Foodservice Contractor be without a custom stainless steel fabricator on their team?  Not too good if you were to ask me.  That’s why we have one of the most professional and experienced fabrication shops around that knows the foodservice industry and will build equipment specifically for your needs.  The ability to fabricate the equipment that we’re installing only enhances our quality of service since we’re right there to ensure it is properly built from beginning to end.

Our stainless steel shop can fabricate custom work tables, three compartment sinks, dirty and clean dish tables, mobile utility carts for mixers, slicers, and other miscellaneous equipment, pot racks and wall shelves, and custom trim including closure panels, corner guards, and chases.  Of course, if you have custom work that you’re looking to get done whether it be a company sign, guard rails, or trailer, then we can handle that as well.  Our rates are typically always below that of major stainless manufacturers with quicker lead times, more control of the finer details, and the ability to have the same company fabricate and install the equipment.

We can deliver the equipment directly to the site on our own delivery truck or we can coordinate with the freight line of your choice and ship the equipment OTR to your jobsite.  We’ll work with you on every detail to ensure the job is completed on time on correctly.  If you’re looking to get a quote, then please contact us at the top of this page and we’ll be happy to talk to you.  Thanks for considering Kitchen Equipment Contractors and have a great day!

Stainless Steel Field Welders in Michigan

Here at Kitchen Equipment Contractors, we undoubtedly have the best stainless steel field welders in Michigan.  In fact, we have the best stainless field welders in the Midwest.  We have sent our welders to repair numerous other field welds that were thought to be damaged upon repair and have been repeatedly asked to point out the locations of field welds due to the outstanding job of our welders.  Finding quality stainless welders can be a trial and error process and result in an expensive mistake if the wrong one is chosen.  We will travel to Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky for mobile stainless field welding.

A pipe fitter/welder welding on HVAC steel pip...

Over the years, we’ve used countless welders who’ve unfortunately botched field welds on stainless. It isn’t so much that they can’t weld the stainless together, but their finishing work is unacceptable to us.  However, about five years ago, we found someone who has a natural gift of welding stainless steel.  We use him for shop welding as well as all of our field welds.  Of course, there are outside factors that play into the quality of a field weld which include the gauge of the steel, the location of the weld (on a flat surface or on a sink edge), and the under-counter structure.  However, if anyone can take the trickiest welds imaginable and make them look beautiful, our welder is the guy.

In order to best service your stainless steel field welding needs, please try to schedule us at least a couple of weeks in advance.  Of course, we will always try to accommodate every request, however some advance notice helps us out.  In fact, if you are able to work with us before the stainless equipment is released into fabrication, then we can point out the most conducive locations for the field weld to ensure a quality finished product.  Don’t hesitate to contact us with your stainless steel welding needs, as you won’t find a better welder anywhere.  Thanks for visiting and we hope to hear from you soon!

Commercial Hood Installation

Commercial hood installation is one of Kitchen Equipment Contractors primary services.  We have hundreds of kitchen hood installations under our belt with many more hood installations currently lined up.  We have worked in dozens of major markets throughout the United States and have commercial kitchen installers available regardless of where you’re at in the U.S.  Our primary focus is to provide professional and courteous service that ends with a job well done.

The two primary types of kitchen hoods that we install are commercial exhaust hoods that typically are found over cooking equipment and condensate hoods that are placed above commercial dish machines and dishwashers.

Some of the options to keep in mind when ordering your commercial kitchen hood are options such as where to locate your fan and light controls which are typically mounted either on the front face of the hood or remotely on a nearby wall.  The type of lighting in your hood whether it be incandescent bulbs, fluorescent light fixtures, or high-efficiency LED bulbs.  Do you need integrated make-up air or are your air flow needs already properly calculated in your kitchen?  Are you looking for an entire ventilation system which includes not only the hood, but duct work, exhaust fan, and make-up air?

In many states, we can provide complete ventilation installations in addition to the basic exhaust hood or condensate hood installation.  However, there are some other contractors that are still required such as electricians, and sometimes mechanical contractors and roofers depending on your project needs.  We can help you through this process if you have any questions so that you’re comfortable knowing what needs to happen.

Additionally, we have close relationships with some of the top commercial exhaust hood manufacturers in the USA including Captive Aire, Halton, Duo-Aire/Avtec, and Greenheck.  Often times, we’re able to request expedited fabrication times due to our long-standing relationships without having to pay a premium price.  It is factors like this that set us apart from our competition.  We’ll not only provide you a professional product and installation, but a quick turn-around as well!

Kitchen Equipment Contractors can expertly handle your commercial kitchen hood installation.  We’d love the opportunity to discuss your project needs in more detail.  Please click on the “Contact Us” page at the top of our home page and we’ll get back to you right away!  Thanks for considering Kitchen Equipment Contractors for all of your food service installation needs.
